Rain and Snow Sensor
RS-YUX-*-* rain and snow sensor is a qualitative measuring device that measures whether it rains or snows outdoors or in nature. It has high sensitivity and an internal automatic heating mode, which can effectively prevent measurement errors caused by freezing on the surface of the sensor in cold weather.
The rain-snow sensor is an essential component of the weather monitoring system. Designed to measure outdoor rain or snow in natural environments, this device ensures accurate and reliable data. Made from high-strength ABS waterproof material, the rain sensor has an IP68 protection level.The sensor detects rain and snow through the spiral metal coil on top. Additionally, it features an auto-heating function to prevent surface icing caused by severe cold weather in winter. For enhanced alarm functionality, you can connect an external sound and light alarm when in use. Alternatively, the free cloud platform provided by our company can be used to achieve alarm notifications

Rain and snow sensor use
Rain and snow sensors are useful in greenhouses.During times of frequent heavy rains, the rain sensor detects rain and communicates with the greenhouse’s rain shelter system. Consequently, it sends a signal to the greenhouse manager. This effectively reduces the loss of greenhouse crops.
Rain and snow sensors can be used on highways or railway tracks. After the rain and snow sensor detects snowfall, it can upload the data to the cloud platform through the corresponding highway or railway weather station. Additionally, it cooperates with other sensors to make accurate snowfall judgments. Furthermore, it reminds drivers whether they are still on the highway or already on it, ensuring they are prepared early. Rain and snow sensors can also be utilized in outdoor weather station equipment to provide reference data for meteorological environment monitoring
